Most Of You Are Right, And I Am Wrong.

How does one vet someone from a country with practically no records?

There are records in these countries and if they can't find any record of you or question the ones you have, you don't get a visa and cannot travel to the US. Not too hard to vet someone with no records. Interview goes like this - Hello, denied, next!

Not that I'm aware of, I wasn't addressing religion, I've been told that this is not a religious ban or test. Was I wrong?

I guess you mean what Trump is doing? Not sure, like I said I just don't know much about it. However, don't the two go hand in hand? Again, not being a smart ass but just asking. When you are putting a waiting period on people from hostile countries that have people who kill in the name of religion, doesn't that count?

That Super Bowl Commercial just now- the Budweiser one, that features Adolphus Busch coming from Deutschland.

It broght tears to my eyes. I cried when I saw it, amd I'm not afraid to say it. I've been thinking about it and I admit that the Democrats are right. We Republicans are wrong. Trump is wrong for that Executive Order.

Thank you.

The Courts are right.

Prost! (Cheers!)
Did Busch come over illegally? Or during an armed conflict with Deutschland?
Did he require special accommodations for his lifestyle?

The Trump ban is only dealing with legal immigration, not illegal immigration. This has nothing to do illegal immigration.
The Trump ban affects people who were legally allowed to come here. They all had visas or permission to come, which Trump attempted to change on his own.The President is allowed to set most policies in regards to immigration and visiting our country. The problem is that his Executive Order was not well thought out or planned. It was three guys sitting in the White House with Giuliani's assistance. They did not run it by any of the agencies who had to administer it nor allow anyone's else to tell them what they were doing is wrong. An example was Trump's exception for "minorities" from the seven countries. This was clearly a religious test. That is not allowed under the US Constitution. The restrictions on green card holders was another mistake. You cannot discriminate against them as they are legally allowed to be permanent residents.

So far, I believe that there are 9 court cases and all but one have ruled against Trump. He could have made a change in the policies and not had this problem. He should pull the policy, start over and do one that will be legal.

Trump tried to change the law without legislation. All of the people had been vetted. More importantly all of them had legal rights to enter or return to the US. Finally the countries chosen had no record of killing an American while countries not banned including Saudi Arabia and Egypt have citizens directly involved in 911 attack. This is what happens when politicians are reckless and trying a power grab. Our courts handled it well and expeditiously. Bannon and Guliani are not qualified to make these decisions and Trump is not running a Fake Reality TV show here. This is real. Again, I think the US came out well. An overreaching president tried to override the Constitution and the judiciary put him in his place. Trump''s unfair comments directed at a Bush the Elder appointed Judge may be more sinister. If you have an Executive branch probing the judiciaries defenses it may be a sign of what happened with the Deplorable Hitler culminating in Nazi show trials. We need to remain vigilant and stop Trump because his ultimate goal, given his well documented personality disorder, affinity for Putin the Dictator and delusions of grandeur seem to be to establish a dictatorship right here. It happened all over the world before and if not for Churchill and FDR we may have all been speaking German now.

Was stimmt damit nicht???
Das ist eine Beleidigung!!!

Foreign Service officers do not deal with applications for immigration but I don't know what you are talking about. They don't apply for immigration applications, they apply for travel visas. There is a process where they sit for interviews and their background is checked and their reasoning for travel. If it is a tourist visa, the check has to also do with the chances they will overstay their visa. There is a long process when dealing with some of these questionable countries.
Applying for permanent status while in country is a total different situation and I'm guessing handled by ICE. Trump's order has to do with travel status and thus Visas. Maybe you should understand a little better what you are talking about but don't let the facts get in the way of your argument.
Don't know where you pulled IRS into the situation and that idea would be idiotic as they are used to dealing with anything in this arena.
You should've stop at "I don't know what you're talking about."

Sorry I hurt your feelings, are you going to go cry somewhere now? The truth hurts sometimes, open a window and look out in the real world and see what the middle class is having to deal with because of you pukes.
Disclaimer, Al's liberal brother here, but since when does the left stand for outsourcing jobs? it's been the right all along, if the Clinton's played ball with wall street it's because they wanted money, the right would have done the same.. there's a clear misunderstanding of what's happened in the last 30 years. Automation and outsourcing have been killing jobs for a while and it's a non partisan phenomenon. Who can really sit here and tell me that the republicans would not have done the same things. Populism is a conundrum, it has elements of the left and also the right, and it's dangerous. Bernie Sanders would probably have the same views on outsourcing and immigration as Trump, and he's a socialist. The difference is that Trump won on the Alt right vote as well, which is anti semiotic and anti Islam.

So are you making the argument that all terrorist are muslims? I highly doubt it but that is an assumption based on your argument by stating "this is clearly a religious test". The basis is made on the point these countries don't have the technology infrastructure to properly identify and process these visas to our current standards. The fact they're predominantly Muslim nations is a boat anchor to the argument

No argument from me on the outsourcing of jobs but it's both parties attempts at globalism. We should be taking of our people first! Now I have a question for you. Do you consider conservatives as Alt right, because that's not what they are. Alt Right are the Neo Nazi's and skinheads trying to jump on the independent or libertarian bandwagons. Much the same as the New Black Panther Party and CAIR did with the left. Anyone with common sense knows to differentiate the two.

No I don't, my whole family is Republican as you might have notice from my brother, and I have a business so it's to my advantage to have conservative government in place. What i'm saying is that Trump was lifted by the Alt right, and his dependence on Bannon is dangerous. It never bothered me to have a republican congress or president, it's splitting hairs for me, but when you go too far right or too far left out of panic and fear, bad things happen.

Don't disagree with that at all.

Not only that, but trade jobs are also lost. Why are trade jobs worth less than manufacturing? Also, having stable neighbors who can have stable economies and find jobs in their own countries don't need to immigrate to the US. Nowadays, Chinese and Indian (illegal)immigrants outnumber Mexicans. Also, when Mexicans have more money to spend because they have good jobs, they buy american products in higher numbers than just about anyone else.

No I appreciate that we are both being civil no snark needed. The first reason religion can't be at issue is religious tests are a non starter. It's unConstitutional on its face. So what we end up with is a pretext.

The entirety of my post was to demonstrate that the laws of immigration from many years did exist in an America where citizens were subjected to terror.

Many people discount the mass murder/terror that was common in US history; many more just are not familiar with b the incidents.

Well said.

Regretfully those were other times my man. Times when killing innocent people was a measure of lunacy and not of religious fervor. Shoot I remember visiting beautiful Beirut and then driving to Damascus with my Danish girlfriend back in 1971. Try that now?

I just did that. It's fine... although your girlfriend didn't join me. World is safer than ever before.

Dude, been a longgggg day, so let me just address the first point real quick, then I am calling it a night; I would say it's unconstitutional to look at anyone's religion until you have people killing, often I might add, for the prophet of that religion. You can throw stuff in about Christians throughout history, or even at abortion clinics, but we are talking about hardline religious terrorists who are killing in the name of Allah. And for what? Because other people have another religion? Because we have freedom? In this sense I say it's hard to abide by the constitution when our own citizens are in danger. Just my opinion brother, and there probably isn't a perfect answer. Anyway, good chatting with ya and I appreciate your input and opinion. Hope nothing I said to you was taken the wrong way. Nothing but respect.
