The coaching staff has a busy recruiting schedule to continue connecting with the 2024 commits this week. Head Coach Mario Cristobal is in Las Vegas today to visit four-star tight end Elijah Lofton and will also visit California to check out some of the high-level talent in the southern part of the state.
The rest of the staff will stop at certain high school schools today and at the end of the week.
Miami will mainly focus on Florida in the tri-county area and work their way up through Georgia. Miami will focus primarily on the 2024 class this week.
Miami visited 2024 four-star WR Ny Carr, a recent Georgia de-commitment.
Canes County learned that Miami will visit players in the same vicinity to reach as many 2024 commits as possible. Kavion Broussard, Abram Murray, and Dylan Day are in the Louisiana area, Cameron Pruitt and Kevin Riley hail from Alabama, Deryc Plazz and Artavius Jones are north Florida commits, Nino Francavilla and Juan Minaya are in the northeast, Judd Anderson and Luke Nickel are in Georgia, and Chance Robinson, Joshisa Trader, Zaquan Patterson, Daylen Russell, Chris Wheatley-Humphrey, Ryan Mack, OJ Frederique, Vincent Shavers, Armondo Blount, and Waden Charles, all hail from the tri-county area (Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties).
Isaiah Thomas is the only commit from the Tampa Bay area, but Miami is interested in many targets from IMG Academy in Bradenton.
Miami currently has the 15th-ranked 2024 class.
