Miami emerges as leader for rising 2025 talent

After a conversation with 2025 offensive lineman Max Buchanan, Miami is in a really good spot to land his commitment. Buchanan is still weighing his options, but the Hurricanes are emerging as the leader here. The Central Florida talent had a solid Rivals Five-star Camp, and he expressed that the relationship between Coach Alex Mirabal and the staff is very strong. One key factor is being in a location where he can see himself enjoying and living, where Miami has the upper hand.

Offensive line coach Alex Mirabal is also very high on Buchanan and feels he can be a great addition to the 2025 class.

Buchanan is considering Penn State, Ole Miss, Clemson, Florida State, and UCF.

Pro Football Focus is High on the Hurricanes Going into the 2024 Season

Miami continues to get high praise from the mega statistical website Pro Football Focus.

Based on statistics and the talent acquired via the transfer portal and recruiting (8th and 5th ranked classes), Miami should, at the very least, contend for a playoff spot, bearing injuries and mistakes.

If Miami underachieves, it will not be because the Hurricanes lack talent. Miami's talent should allow it to compete with the top ten teams in the country.
