Canesrule21'ships goes to daddy and says: “daddy, daddy, daddy, I want to buy the same shirt Kim is wearing but it costs 100 bucks.” Daddy says: “honey, money doesn’t grow on trees and that’s expensive for a t-shirt. You need to work for a living.”

Now, canesrule21'ships is in quite a conundrum. How does she get the money to buy the t-shirt. She first thinks: “well, I can shop lift and sell everything I steal to get me closer to my goal……but nah, its not worth it because I can be arrested.” Then she has a second thought: ”maybe I can get some of my friends, especially the male ones, to help me rob some people…….but nah, I can get arrested for that also.” “How about selling drugs….nah, once again it would be slammer time.” Then she thinks: “If only I knew how to steal a car…..but nah, that wouldn’t work anyways because again I can be arrested.”

Suddenly, a light bulb goes off in canesrule21'ships’s head where she says to herself: “hey, I can sell my goodies with no repercussions whatsoever.” So, she picks up the phone and calls Daddy’s friend: “hello, Cems52, this is canesrule21’ships, I really want that Kardashian shirt so I will meet you at your place at 4pm. I feel their are strong deterrents in the bill to ensure kids do not resort to this life style. From your perspective "locking them up" (couldn't resist) is the best deterrent. I do not believe they are sent to any traumatic place like juvi or any place with bars. This can easily set up situations where after kids are immediately released from whatever safe place there being held at they will have no fear of reprisal and go right back on the streets. Say you’re a minor caught 5 times…….there is a threat of an extended term in juvi under the old law which usually happens with a habitual offender to create a deterrence for others. How long can these kids be kept by the state before they are released since they wont be charged? In reality the test of time will determine how things go with this law, but I would be surprised if we don’t see more and more kids turning tricks because of it. Parenting is tough enough, and when you teach your kids right from wrong some of those principles are drawn from laws. But when you have a law which tells your kids its ok to turn tricks, a parent’s job just became tougher.

I don't disagree with your post. Although my kids are older, I can understand any parent's concerns or society in general. I have additional questions like you before I would support this bill or any in general.
