Meanwhile the amount of gas they import stays the same with an increase in price being charged by the Russian gas company . That’s smart? Who is getting sanctioned? The German people and businesses??

Russia no doubt is a bad actor but Ukraine is one of the most corrupt nations on the planet. The people of the Donbas region do not want to be ruled by Kiev and had been given semi autonomy several years ago. Many European media sources say they prefer to be aligned with Russia. Crimea does not appear to be protesting now being part of Russia. Compare that to the people of Hong Kong protesting China's rule.

And please explain why the US citizens should trust anything the Biden Administration? Hunter and "the big guy" got millions from both Russia and Ukraine. May I remind you of Biden as Obama's VP in his own words bragging how he shook down the Ukrainian government:
