Final Update:
It wasn't easy, Caniacs...we were down 4-1...but came back to tie it 4-4 and then blew it open to go up 11-4 before the Griffs added 1 each in the 8th and 9th innings......
The hero for Miami was Yohandy Morales...who had 3 HRs...all bombs, of course...for 5 RBIs...

Hello. Caniacs!
Finally....we get to play...we hope! Looks like a 5:430 pm start.
The Golden Griffins of Canisius College in Buffalo, NY come to Coral Gables riding a 6-game winning streak., including 2 shutouts. They earned an at-large bid to the post-season by winning its 4th Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) championship last weekend by defeating Rider. They have 4 batters hitting over .300, including their top hitter .400+. They also have 3 pitchers who are ranked in the top 5 in the MAAC'.
Miami, which is hosting for the 28th time in program history, is the No. 6 overall seed in the tournament. The Hurricanes own an all-time NCAA Regional record of 129-50 (.721), including an 88-17 (.838) record at Mark Light Field. This is the first time we've hosted since 2016. Frankly, I was very surprised to see Miami get a No. 6 seeding and I've had my doubts about the team for the last 3-4 weeks. But...they beat more Top 25 teams than anyone else
Check out the comparative stats between Miami and Canisius below. I would advise people not to take our opponent lightly because Stetson and Florida Gulf Coast say hello. Besides, since when are we in a position to turn our noses up on any team? I realize the level of competition is not the same (although Canisius spilt a 4-game series with Pitt to start the year). Even so, they have 4 batters hitting over .300, we have 3. They have 3 pitchers in their conference's top 10 in ERA. We have 1.
