RIP MIAMI HEAT AND THE REST OF THE NBA

Nets just became the latest Big 3. It’s a wrap!!

Kyrie is a whack job. It’s only a matter of time that Harden starts to bitch about wanting the ball. Their defense got even worse.

This is a train wreck at best.

Lakers are still the best team.

Harden is the most selfish player in league history (and that's saying something), and Kyrie is so depressed about his girlfriend dumping him that he can't play. These aren't the Nets of Michael Ray Richardson, but they'll get just as many championships as those teams did.

Not one alpha leader among those 3 unless KD steps up in that role

and who is rebounding on that team???? Old ass has been DeAndre Jordan????

playoffs is about defense and rebounding. They got none of that!!!

also, 3 ball hogs and you can only play with 1 ball

I’m an OG nets fan (season tickets at the swamp). I hate this trade. Rather have Allen amd lavert. Or would have rather traded lavert for oladipo. Only good thing is it’s insurance for when Kyrie decides to retire. That kid not worth the headache. He should retire and focus on social causes. He does amazing work outside bball but it’s obvious his heart is not on the court.

if this trade doesn’t work out at least we can trade harden he won’t lose his value like Irving has.

Nets will be a train wreck. Kyrie and Harden are 2 of the most selfish, unlikeable players in the league, and will prove to be team killers. I'd have a tough time rooting for that team if I was a Nets fan. Thankfully, I'm a Heat fan so I look forward to watching them fall flat on their faces.

Stop it. They’ll be regular season ballers. That’s it. Their defense just got worst and they sucked to begin with. Defense wins Championship. Always will.

If I'm the Nets GM I'm trading Kyrie for a 3 point shooter and some wing defenders. As long as Kyrie's on that team they're going nowhere.

And they just threw Spencer Dinwiddie under the bus. From future star of thst team to bench player who will never see the ball again or get a play called for him.

He will be traded before the deadline.

KD is as insecure as a 16 year old girl on her period. He’s one “Unlike” away from having a mental breakdown. Easily rattled.
Harden is a cancer and a total ball hog that plays ZERO defense. Kyrie ?? He should take Stephen A’s advice and retire. The guy is a total mental case.

The amount of estrogen coming out of this group is undeniable.

Can’t wait to watch this. It’s going to be worse than Keeping up with the Kardashians

I don't know bro. I'm in the "too many big egos/not enough shots to go around" group. You never know, they could end up dominating, but I honestly don't like this trade for them. It's one thing to be a good scorer, but these guys are all volume shooters...the kind of guys that don't get into a rhythm w/out taking a ton of shots. Kyrie has been Robin before but he hated it, and he did it with a superstar who'd rather pass than shoot. This will be tough imo...I think that "3rd superstar" needed to be more of a Rodman or Pippen type - rebounder/defender/good all-around player who doesn't need the ball in his hands. We'll see.

Y'all boys sweating yet? Man KD and Harden doing it WITHOUT Kyrie. Just imagine if he was playing.

Too much star power for the EAST and I think they would shoot the hell out of the Lakers too.

Yes, but I think it gets harder with Kyrie, not easier. Egos and not enough shots to go around, plus I think he's just such a different dude. Not surprised to see early success, but I think their issues are likely to come out later as time goes by and they spend more time around each other, one guy's stats may be well behind the other 2, etc.

PS-haven't seen them play yet but I watched the highlights from last night's game. Is it just me or does it look like Harden has put on a bunch of (bad) weight?

He has gotten fat as hell. I expect him to lose it tho over the season.

The thing many aren't factoring is friendship. Just like Wade and Bron, KD and Harden are tight. KD and Kyrie are tight. That (chemistry) along with their talent is going to make them crazy hard to beat.

Kyrie is going to fit right in. You will see. Unlike football, in basketball putting the top 10 players on one team makes a HUGE difference and almost usually equals a ring. The main reason being in basketball, the best players control what happens on both sides of the ball and while many don't think this team has a defensive star, offense in basketball is the best defense.

When you hit 3-pointers, after 3-pointers, after 3, you force the other team to play out of their comfort zone to keep up. That makes it a lot easier to defend them when they are doing things out of character (just like the Greek Freak found out last night jacking up 3s).

Yes but every team goes cold sometimes...have to be able to play some D. And KD can, Kyrie can a little bit. Not as sure about Harden but I'm sure he can if motivated.

You may be right on the relationships - I know KD/Harden's but didn't know KD and Kyrie were tight. It's going to be one hell of a science experiment imo. I just think "it's all good" until one of those three starts averaging 16 ppg while the other 2 hover around 30 ppg, and one starts feeling slighted by the lack of attention compared to what the others are getting, etc. That's going to test things imo.

Yeah, KD and Kyrie are tight which was a factor for KD going to Brooklyn with Kyrie.

How is that no defense working out for the Nets? They currently sit #2 in the East and are favored to make the Finals given no injuries.

Some of y’all are stuck in the 80s. A great offense is the best defense because it forces the other team to play out of their comfort zone and keep up. Which makes said team easier to defend. No team has the offense the Nets do.
