The case before the Supreme Court is being brought by Attorney Generals for Republican states led by Texas.
The argument is that the individual mandate which is unconstitutional and is now zero forces the ACA to be scrapped because the individual mandate was the back bone of the program.
The mandate FORCED citizens to buy something or else get punished with a penalty.
It was designed so that people would take insurance and that would reduce the cost of providing coverage to the Insurance companies because more people would pay premiums but it was declared unconstitutional and did not work anyway as premiums soared, deductibles and co-pays soared and choices in many states declined.
Let me say this to you; I applaud the Obama administration trying to tackle the issue but I remember no republican participation, you can keep your doctor, and promises it would lower or slow the actual costs of Insurance. None of that happened. We also have NOT seen a plan from the Trump administration and to me this is a huge failure. For many families health insurance costs more then their mortgage. Do your research you will find that President Trump has already signed an Executive Order prohibiting Insurance companies from denying coverage due to pre-existing conditions in the event the Supreme Court throws out ACA.
He's also someone obsessed with not showing weakness, so if he were remotely able to stay at the White House, he would've clearly done so. The fact that he requires hospitalization is usually a very serious sign that things have taken a turn for the worse.
He is the President. There are times for any President where the Secret Service or Medical Professionals tell the President what they must do. They do this because their job is to protect the President for the Country. It stands to reason that he is safer in a hospital environment then in the White House. That's just common sense. Yes he is sick. They have told us he has fever, congestion, and fatigue. They simply will not take a chance with his health. I was stationed at this hospital in 1982-84 worked in the Operating Room facial trauma oral and maxillofacial team. I was there when Reagan had a sinus procedure in this very hospital. At that time it was called National Naval Medical Center but they closed the original old Walter Reed Hospital and re-named this facility after Walter Reed.

Rational ppl know this. Trump may or may not survive but they do not treat this disease that aggressively unless the symptoms are severe. Being the President does get u better care but there is a huge difference between better care. So does being rich and/or famous.
However in every case that they have moved toward these aggressive steps the patient was having more than mild symptoms.
