6 feet apart and social distancing may be a distant memory very soon. How will casinos handle table games like craps once they re-open? 6 feet apart won’t cut it. What will be their new normal?
Do they even clean them now?Maybe they’ll clean the chips more often.
Do they even clean them now?
Chinese love to gamble and they don’t care about personal space. They are gonna be out there tossing dice one way and the Kung flu the other way.6 feet apart and social distancing may be a distant memory very soon.
Gary will get on me for this. But these ppl have to stop eating bats and stuff. Look, it's common knowledge where this inconvenient virus came from. Let's stop the political posturing. Please. We know where it came from. Let's take steps to prevent it in the future.Chinese love to gamble and they don’t care about personal space. I think we go back to normal in May. The American people recognize when they have been duped. Enough already guys. Enough. You've had your fun.Casino's really, a lot is going to change after this deal, not just here in America, but globally. 1972 in some think tank it was decided we either feed the Chinese or fight them, in the here and now i say let's get out of China completely. OUR HEMISPHERE
Blackjack is a big game for them too. Not very good while I see them stating on 16 with a Dealer king and hitting on 14 with a dealer 5.Chinese love to gamble and they don’t care about personal space. They are gonna be out there tossing dice one way and the Kung flu the other way.
They need to take that test from Abbot (pay em or whatever) and everybody and their uncle needs to be producing them things in bulk. That's a failure that we haven't done it already. WTH are we waiting on. Unleash the dogs of war. Failing by not. They need the Abbott test at scarlett’s.
Is Macau currently open?Macau is the biggest gambling center in the world, does 4 times the business of Vegas. And the previous outbreaks of SARS, Avian flu, and H1N1 did not slow it down at all. Doubt much changes in casinos once we are past the worst of it.

For sports books, yes, and games against other humans, but I don’t trust electronic games against the House, like BJ, craps, and roulette.Legalize online gambling and we're good.
I've thought about that. I really enjoy driving up to Cherokee NC twice a year for a couple of days to play some WSOP circuit events, usually April and November. Everyone sits shoulder to shoulder and, to your point, everyone in the casino is shoulder to shoulder at almost every table game and the slots. How will casinos handle table games like craps once they re-open? 6 feet apart won’t cut it. Forgot about slots. You can wear a glove, I guess, but don’t need to be too close to others as with other games.I've thought about that. It's going to be an issue.
It reopened in late February. Visitors and revenue down like 80 percent. Number of tables have been reduced to space them out, fewer people allowed at tables. We'll see what happens. Is Macau currently open?
I just can't fathom the time frame for Vegas to get back up to speed. You have the psychological aspect of people traveling in close quarters, then the hit the Country has taken in their wallets and impact on discretionary income, and the issue of money, tables, chips touched by multitudes of customers...going to he a slow roll.It reopened in late February. Visitors and revenue down like 80 percent. Number of tables have been reduced to space them out, fewer people allowed at tables. We'll see what happens.
Any word on reopening?I live in Stateline, NV, which might have the highest casino revenue per capita of any city in the world. Our entire community is based on skiing and gambling. So far, one Casino which has been around for 35 years has already closed doors permanently.
It will be interesting to see when they reopen the bigger casinos here, and how that happens.
So the dealer isn't 6 ft from anyone in black jack...or most gamesNo chance they cleaned those suckers before. Doubt they will now. Those might be dirtier than money itself. You might see more tables open and one seat in between players for black jack. But craps and roulette would be tough, takes the fun out of craps if u have 5 people and a hot table.
The slot machines are right next to each other.Forgot about slots. You can wear a glove, I guess, but don’t need to be too close to others as with other games.

That would almost guarantee that the casinos 2 hours west of me in Wendover, won't be opening until then either.I'm in Vegas. Casino groups station, MGM, caesaers gearing up to open.....but only some properties initially, and likely not before June 1st.

Are you in Salt Lake City 801?That would almost guarantee that the casinos 2 hours west of me in Wendover, won't be opening until then either.
I am in Riverton, at the south end of the Salt Lake valley. Are you in Salt Lake City 801?
My wife and I lived for a short time in West Jordan back in 1987. I made that drive to Wendover. Maybe the most desolate stretch of road I've ever driven. I recall a Morton Salt plant and some odd fake Palm Tree...and that's about it, lol. I remember thinking, if my car breaks down I'm screwed...I am in Riverton, at the south end of the Salt Lake valley.
