Very simple. Seniors on Defense like Johnson, Redwine, M Jackson, Dean, Willis, Tito and D Jackson decided they were not going to lose their final game on their home turf on Senior night. Juniors like Jackson, Shaq and Pinckney, possibly NFL bound decided that they were not going to lose on their possible last game. And if they come back they wanted to support the Seniors. Every other member of the defense wanted to support those guys and refused to lose. They played a dominating defense against a decent team. They decided to not worry about the hot mess the offense is. They just took over the game because they are playing D1 football and want to win. As much as formations and plays, that is the attitude that championship teams need to have. Good for the younger guys to see it. Home Coach Richt saw it and realizes that he needs to be similarly focused on winning, even if it means making changes he does want to make.
