The cost of the Biden inflation is $276 per month over the Trump economy.
https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/inflation-has-americans-shelling-out-another-276-a-month-1.1721672
With the annual average household income at $67,521 that is a 4.9% loss of spending power for the average household.
That hardship created by needless pandering to stupid progressive ideas will be remembered by swing voters in November 2022.
I doubt many of these voters will be believe $3,312 of THEIR hard earned money was worth safety from guys in Viking hats (January 6th) and no more Trump weelly meeen tweets.
But Biden is blaming all the problems on Lester Holt (NBC) for being a "wise guy"

PLEASE DNC, send senile Joe out to EVERY House and Senate race. He should personally campaign for the demi in every congressional race and make it about voting for the DemiBiden track record. I am sure every average American Citizen will think that $3.312 EVERY YEAR if not more in 2022 is a bargain to pay for continuation of their loss of spending power.

More of the same old BS. You act as if economic conditions never change. Trump served during a long period of low inflation. Biden is serving during a period of record-setting GLOBAL inflation. BTW. History shows that presidents exert limited influence over the economy!

Mike,
RE: BTW. History shows that presidents exert limited influence over the economy!
Please read US History - Jimmy Carter's economy followed by Ronald Reagan's recovery.

Government policies do matter. Even moreso now than when Carter screwed the economy in the 70's. Government spending now makes up 44% of US GDP. For you to say the President of that 44% has limited influence is stuningly ignorant, even for you.

Meaningless facts. Economic conditions are vastly different today than when Trump was in office!

Just wait to see how the Russia and Ukraine situation develops, an see how bad Biden‘s decision to end our energy independence effects our economy.

Some people really need to wake up and stop looking at politics from the lense of a political belief that they were led to believe in. They look like pawns of WWI and WWII. The country and the world is a mess.

Wrong! The price of gas skyrocketing, record spending and the FED printing money like crazy is what has caused the highest inflation in 40 years.

We set the bar. When the U.S. becomes a mess the rest of the free world follows. Remember that we have, or are supposed to have the world's strongest economy.

So what has caused record-setting inflation rates in every developed economy in the world?

The U.S. economy. When inflation hits here it also hits the rest of the world. Remember that we have a global economy led by the U.S.
The U.S. economy and every other economy in the world has rising inflation rates due to a demand/supply imbalance caused by supply-chain disruptions due to the pandemic.

The pandemic started in 2020. That's when it hit really hard. Why didn't we have inflation then?

This inflation is due to Biden's disastrous policies, which I already outlined earlier in this thread.

"The boom-and-bust cycles that are inherent in capitalist economies depend on forces that are independent of any president's actions. The task of keeping things on a stable growth path depends mainly on the actions of the Federal Reserve. The president alone can't determine fiscal policy. That requires the cooperation of Congress. Mark Thoma, "Moneywatch".

Polls show that the American people are holding Biden accountable for the inflation we are experiencing. Which is why his approval ratings continue to tank.

There are 2 things he CAN control. And those are the price of gas and record federal spending. When he closed the XL pipeling the price of gas and everything else when way up. And record federal spending also makes the price of just about everything go way up. He and the DEMS are responsible for that. No one else.

Inflation rates across the eurozone are soaring due to rising energy prices and supply chain disruptions not because of Biden policies. We didn't have inflation when the pandemic first started because of weak demand and supply chains had yet to be disrupted.

You know energy and food prices are not used to calculate inflation.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • Core inflation is the change in the costs of goods and services but does not include those from the food and energy sectors.
  • Food and energy prices are exempt from this calculation because their prices can be too volatile or fluctuate wildly.
  • Core inflation is important because it's used to determine the impact of rising prices on consumer income.

Let’s just debunk the nonsense being spewed by Mike .
The average inflation rate in the Eurozone is roughly half of our 7.5%. Period
Italy is about 2% , Germany about 3.3 % France about the same . The U.K. is panicking with a rate about 35% less than our rate .
The inflation in the USA was caused by several factors , but primarily by the unchecked printing and dissemination of devalued $ . A Biden special . Add in the mismanaged pandemic, with the deaths of 500,000 Americans on Brandon’s hands and we have double the inflation rates of Europe , our supposed allies , who Trump rightfully called out as cheapskates who rip us off .
