A name to watch that could return home...

Shemar Stewart is a name to monitor in the next few weeks. The former five-star edge rusher for Texas A&M may be looking elsewhere with the coaching changes happening in College Station. Stewart has not officially announced that he has entered the portal as of yet, which will highly be dependant on if Elijah Robinson is retained by the Aggies.

Stewart, who played his high school at Monsignor Pace in Miami Gardens, chose the Aggies over the Hurricanes in a highly contested recruiting battle that came down to the very end.

In 2023, Stewart has ten total tackles, 1.5 sacks, a fumble recovery, and two passes defended. In two years at A&M, he has had three sacks and 15 solo tackles.

The six-foot-six, 285-pound sophomore could be a nice depth piece for Miami.

Expected Players to Leave This Off-Season

Hearing the following players are likely to leave the program via Transfer

QB Jacurri Brown, CB Tecory Couch (COVID Year), LB Keontra Smith (COVID Year), CB Davonte Brown (Grad Transfer), WR Frank Ladson (Grad Transfer), WR Michael Redding, TE Jaleel Skinner, S Brian Balom (Grad Transfer), LB Ryan Ragone, DE Cyrus Moss, OL Jon Denis (Grad Transfer), Ol Zion Nelson, Ol Cris Washington, OL Logan Sagapolo (Grad Transfer), DL Jamil Burroughs

and likely to hear both safeties, Kam Kinchens and James Williams, as well as DT Leonard Taylor head to the NFL Draft. Tough losses but they've been expected for a long time now.

Expect Miami to hit the Transfer Portal heavy for QB, OL, IDL, CB and S.

Teams Working to Poach Miami Players, Potential to Leave

Hearing that an SEC school is looking to pull WR Brashard Smith, WR Jacolby George and RB Henry Parrish into the Transfer Portal. Heavy back channeling happening here. Brashard Smith is all but a guarantee to transfer if Xavier Restrepo returns from what I am hearing, as well. A heavy RB rotation, plus potential development from Ajay Allen and Christopher Johnson and the impending arrival of Kevin Riley (and maybe Jordan Lyle) could end up pushing Parrish out the same way it did for Don Chaney Jr.
