High upside pass catcher looking to get to Miami

Miami is working to get WR/TE KJ Duff on campus for Legends Camp this Thursday or for the weekend for a visit.

Duff is a big athletic pass catcher that can fit in at tight end or wide receiver. He played for Raw Miami 7-on-7 this offseason and nearly helped his team win the OT7 national championships last weekend - all the while nursing an injured ankle. Raw would fall to Lo Pro 17-16 in the final.

He scored several touchdowns during the tournament and arguably had the best play of the entire weekend.

The Miami staff wants to conduct a private workout with Duff. Miami could make his visit an official one depending on how his workout goes.

Miami high on local 2024 receiver

Miami is building momentum with local 2024 wide receiver Jacory Barney.

The wideout dominated at last week’s prospect camp held at the University of Miami scoring several touchdowns and was again at Miami as a spectator at today’s camp. He went up to see Head Coach Mario Cristobal when the camp concluded.

The explosive wide receiver is heading to Texas A&M tomorrow and also has intentions on visiting Illinois.

Barney is looking to make a decision on school in July and confirmed that Miami is one of his top schools.

Miami Wide receivers coach Kevin Beard thinks Barney can be an NFL player and drew a comparison to Chad Ochocinco.

Barney will continue his high school career at Miami Palmetto the alma mater of current Miami Hurricanes Robby and Bobby Washington.

Barney had 37 receptions for 559 yards scoring 4 touchdowns with long of 91 last season and showed his versatility playing at quarterback and running back as well.

He passed for 217 yards throwing 4 touchdowns on 73 percent completion percentage. Barney rushed for 184 yards and a touchdown with a long of 51.
