Thursday At Greentree

Short viewing session at Greentree (about 10 minutes or so). Saw Jason Taylor working with the defensive line and Head Coach Mario Cristobal working with the offensive line.

Jahfari Harvey stood out among drills with the D-Line along with Chantz Williams.

Cristobal spoke to DJ Scaife for about a minute. A lot of education on technique.

Tyler Van Dyke and Jake Garcia continue to look really sharp in throwing drills. Definitely less drops than Monday although I noticed Brinson had a bad one.

Will Mallory was in a red non-contact jersey.

Leonard Taylor seemed to be working with the second unit.

What’s the best carry holster?

My shirt is tucked in for work and I need to carry for work. So the inside the pants isn’t going to work, right? It’s too freaking hot for me to wear a sports coat every night in the heat of summer so a shoulder holster isn’t going to work either. So what say you? I can’t do a pocket holster because I need my pockets for keys and my cell phone.

maybe two different holsters, one for untucked (easy) but then what for tucked with no sports coat?

Fletcher

Miami is still pushing to land four-star running back Mark Fletcher. However, I've heard that it may be too late for Miami to flip the Ohio State commit. When I spoke to him during the summer he said that something really dramatic would have to happen with Ohio State for him to flip his commitment. Miami is still looking to add a running back to the 2023 class.

RB Citizen likely out for season, what to learn from that

Mario Cristobal confirmed that Tre'Vonte Citizen will miss a significant amount of time with an injury he suffered during last week's scrimmage.

Citizen, a true freshman running back, had received high praise from teammates and coaches heading into the fall. The former four-star recruit was a great addition to Miami's running back room, which has been thin in years past.

This goes to show how important depth is. Miami just went to having "too many runningbacks" before the season to being back at four backs -- which all have an injury history. Miami's going to need to get the most out of all their running backs. UM lost two RB's for the entire season last year, and is already down one. Going to have to make sure each guy is ready to make a play at any time.

Back to Arizona

After a long, hard-working and enjoyable three months, our summer is over.

Anthony and I are heading back to The Valley, where we’ll begin our sophomore year of college.

We’ve worked relentlessly since arriving back to Miami in May and joining the Canes County team in August.

Although we won’t be able to attend Fall practices on a daily basis as we have, our goal remains to provide top-tier content to the site and social media.

We’ll continue to stay on the scene with recruiting scoops and in-depth pieces. The rest of our team - Marcus and Frank - remain in South Florida and will be at every major event.

Marcus Allen (Miami Official Visit)

I spoke to four-star Marcus Allen last night on his upcoming official visit to the University of Miami. He’s set the date for August 21-23.

A hometown kid, Allen played at Miami Norland (FL.) before transferring to Arizona Compass Prep (AZ.this summer.

Norland is where Dewan Hernandez, who played with the ‘Canes, played high school basketball at.

I filmed AZ Compass last year, having stayed just a few minutes away from the school. I’ll be making my way there more often to keep an eye on Allen.

Got a lot of great stuff from him. Will have the story up this week.
