No. No agenda much ......just a response to the knuckle dragging crowd. .... what u call the race card I call reality....sorry, didn't mean to offend u but I guess I struck a nerve

Didn't strike a nerve...just the laziest, easiest way to try to squash a real debate. Throw the gay or race card.

Some people find homosexuality offensive. There is nothing wrong with feeling that way. Deal with it.

He never would have went undrafted, did anyone notice for hours none of the announcements of who was drafted was covered but all of a sudden the networks cut to the guy on the stage who announced Sam. The whole thing was a setup orchestrated by NFL, media etc.

lol....he was SEC Defensive Player of the Year, toughest conference in football, how did he "throw a card". He's gay, it would have come out soon and he wanted, imo, to get ahead of it.

Kerem - My Boston reference was to the racist Twitter onslaught the black Canadians player was subjected to after his game winner in the playoffs. Just ignorance all around. It's sad.

No shi*t dumbas*. The poster threw the homophobic and racist card, not the player. Our people on this board really THIS STUPID.

Happy for him. I could care less about a kiss. Not my thing but not my business. So what? Our kids see a lot of things. They see people kiss all the time. IT doesn't affect them because they live in the real world too. It doesn't make them want to make out with the same sex. That is stupid. It isn't "teaching" them anything other than there are gay people in this world. How long did you think you were going to keep this a secret from them? lmao. People are so ignorant.

Let the dude live his life. Let him kiss his boyfriend or whoever it is he was kissing if he wants. You making a big deal out of it (if you are) is NOT going to stop this from happing. He obviously doesn't give a shit what you think anyway....lol

I don't care who you sleep with, if I want to see a man and woman kissing I'll tune into a porn site. Our kids should not see two dudes kissing. Keep it private! Hell, straight dude don't even slob their chics down when they get drafted...but it's cool for him because he's and gay....GTFOH!

You watch porn to see people kiss?

Also, you must have missed Jan Vesely tongue punching his chick's throat at the NBA draft a couple years ago. But his girl was pretty hot so dudes were cool with it.

You'd think you all live in Boston not Miami. Live and let live! He wasn't trying to shove anything down your thought. He was expressing pure joy with his significant other. Deal with it.
Is it wrong that so many do not agree with two men lip locking on TV? No its not normal, and yes I am comfortable in my skin, and no I don't want to televise women kissing either. We all have to be accepting of this nonsense?

The thing with the cake was a bit weird, but I blame ESPN for showing it rather than Sam for going too far.

I'm not sure many people have ever said that you are crazy if you don't accept homosexuality. No one is asking you to engage in it. Instead, the idea is that you are probably just afraid, hateful, or closed to people different than you. Any of the 3. But I think people change, and many people against homosexuality are decent people.

You can talk all you want about the NFL prospects of Sam, but his college football credentials are impressive. If you watched SEC football, the dude can play.

Gill! Cmon! Women kissing other women is so fvcking! hot!

You have to admit that!

As a rams fan and obvious college football fan I've seen the tigers play several times this and last year. I think we got a steel for a seventh round draft pick. That being said, I'm pretty glad I missed it on tv and don't want to hear about anyone on the team crying for better or worse. Our team is soft enough as it is and I don't think I ever saw anything as bad as seeing an already soft dolphins team come out with players crying about being bullied. I sincerely hope this guy shows up on the field with a chip on his shoulder and blows people off the line. At the end of the day my rams literally have nothing to lose with this pick. I swear with a couple murders on our team and now a sexual deviant my nfl team is quickly turning into a sick dr suess version of the bad news bears.

He is a very good playerRams fan, love the pick. Think he's a great kid, and also a HIGH value pick in the 7th round. I did not mind him kissing his partner at all. I live in L.A., lived here all my life, and frequent S.F. since one of my sisters lives and works there so I am totally oblivious to homosexual affection and can't really remember holding a negative or critical opinion towards any member of the LGBT community since I was a kid because I have a few relatives who are homosexual. BUT I will admit the whole cupcake smushing on the face and then kissing was a bit hacky and contrived but I don't blame Sam that's ESPN trying to cover it's own ass.

I was happy for his genuine joy and relief, but I could do without the pre-choreographed antics. I am sure it was his agent setting that scene up with wedding cake included. Just show respect, hug the guy and then acknowledge everyone else. That is what the other guys do.

It is very easy to explain it to your children. There are many different kinds of people. You teach tolerance and except acne.

Then it isn't such a big deal in the future. Your children won't turn homosexual.

They either are or aren't.

I love it that no one remembers this, or the fact that no one gave a shit when this happened.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTDtMIwzT4s

Bunch of homophobes.

I am also disgusted by Andy Dalton kissing his girlfriend when he got drafted. Sickening. He should do that in private only. How dare a redhead kiss another women in public

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N3bMOSfJng

I find it hilarious that people think their has to be something wrong with people who do not support homosexuality. We either must be bigots, or afraid, or intolerant, but something is wrong with us. That assumption itself is bigotry.

I don't support homosexuality for the same reason I don't support abortion...I believe it is a sin.

That said, we are all sinners, so I try my best to love them and not to judge them. That doesn't mean I'm not disgusted by their sexual behaviors, but their are many people who are equally disgusted by the fact that I drink, engaged in premarital sex, lie, etc. there is nothing wrong with those people either.

Agree......U don't have to "accept" anything U don't want to. "Accept" is not the problem.
Violence towards gays, discrimination towards gays, unequal rights towards gays, bullying of gays, disrespect towards gays IS the problem.
and being that people can not silently, respectfully NOT "accept" is where U have a problem.

Maybe you should stop being such a bigot. No need to belittle people because they don't support the same things you do. The offensive front the gay movement has put up against people who are not supporters is equally as bad as the terrible things some people say and do to gay people.

I agree that violence, bullying and unequal rights is an issue, but gays aren't the only group being bullied and bullying a gay is no more offensive than bullying anyone else. For some reason people act like it is though.

In regard to discrimination, I think businesses should have the right to not employ whoever they don't think will properly convey the image of the organization they want to project.

It isn't hilarious.....it is very sad and hypocritical. It is the new age. It is no longer acceptable to tolerate any activity or lifestyle, but someone must now embrace and profess to the world they think it is great or they are labeled a bigot, homophobic, intolerant, etc.
I do not like cottage cheese. I do not like to eat it or watch other people eat it. That does not mean I do not like or can't be friends with people who like it. I do not go to every store that sells it and knock them all off the shelf or threaten to boycott the store that sells it. I know it is all around me and I know that many people like it. That is fine with me. But, in today's world I can not live that way. I must profess to like it, have no problem with people eating it right in front of me, learn to like it myself and never tell anyone I do not care for it otherwise I am labeled a "cottage cheese hatter" and it is assumed I hate people who like it.
Am I supposed to be OK with Flag burning? You say it is your right to do so. I agree. It is. But I do not have to like watching someone do it. It also doesn't mean I do not like the 1st Amendment or think people should not have the right to do so. It just means I do not like to burn the flag or watch someone do it. What happens when a 25 year old wants to have sex with a 13 year old? Does that make anyone uncomfortable? Why? Because it hasn't been decided we are age discriminators by enough people yet?
What is so wrong with not liking homosexuality and watching two guys kissing? It doesn't mean someone who does not like that is going to get in their car and go find gay people to beat up. It doesn't mean they do not have gay friends. It simply means that they do not like watching men sexually kiss.

How closed minded and lacking of acceptance does this sound?:
"Hey, do you like watching two men sexually kiss each other?"
"No, I do not."
"Well you are uncomfortable in your own skin, homophobic and intolerant."

It is OK to have different opinions and values. I think the fear isn't of the people who do, it is of the people who can't stand the fact that EVERYONE doesn't see things their way. Get over it. It is what makes us all different. And believe me, you wouldn't want a place where you are told what to think and what to believe and anything different than that is punished.

Michael Sam would have gotten 5 seconds of coverage if he wasn't openly gay. The progressive media has a disturbing obsession with people like Sam.

The funny thing is, sports is supposed to transcend differences. ESPN probably, and misguidedly, thought that is what they were promoting by devoting all this coverage to it. They in fact were not though. They were highlighting a difference and trying to profit from its exposure. If they wanted to promote the idea that sports transcends differences then, they wouldn't have treated Michael Sam any differently than any other draft prospect.
