His strategy is only making it harder for him to win, since his voters won't be voting by mail as much as they did 4 years ago, while at the same time they also won't show up to the polls as much as they did 4 years ago because of COVID. It consistently gets out performed by UPS and Fedex. This is different than absentee, and even absentee there’s a percentage of votes that never get counted. On the third link - mail in ballots can be disqualified if they don't have signatures or if the ballot is received too late after the election. Its unknown how many of the 19% in NJ were disqualified for what reason.

The mission of the USPS isn't to make money, it's to serve everyone. The agency isn't allowed to raise rates higher than inflation no matter what external factors happen. If the USPS is privatized it will soon mimic cable and power companies with little oversight, prices will skyrocket and more rural communities are likely to lose access to Post Office services in their communities.
